I'm the owner and lead developer behind Delva Web Design, based right here in Newark, Delaware.
How It All Started
My journey into web design began shortly after high school, when I taught myself HTML, CSS, and JavaScript just to build little portfolio sites for fun. What started as a hobby quickly turned into a passion, and eventually, a purpose.
For the past 5 years, I've worked as a front-end developer in the automotive industry, where I sharpened my skills and learned the ins and outs of web design, digital marketing, and SEO from the inside out. But somewhere along the way, I realized I wanted more than just a career. I wanted a life that let me be present. I wanted to build something of my own so I could stay home and watch my daughter grow up, not miss the little moments while commuting to an office.
Why Delva Web Design Exists
My wife runs her own small business, and watching her navigate the challenges of getting online, standing out, and connecting with customers gave me a front-row seat to what small business owners really need. I saw firsthand how overwhelming web design, marketing, and SEO can feel when it's not your area of expertise, and I wanted to change that.
That's why I started Delva Web Design: to give back to the small business community by making professional, high-quality websites accessible to business owners who aren't necessarily tech-savvy but deserve a strong online presence just the same.
